HOME COMMUNIONS If you require Holy Communion at home, please contact Fr Kentigern or Fr Bernard either by e-mail or leave a telephone message by 8.00pm on Friday evening stating whether you require a weekly visit or a one-off call. Someone will then be in contact to arrange a suitable day and time to visit.
AMPLEFORTH ABBEY The new Tea Room, Visitor Centre and Shop opened to the public on Friday 22 March. There are openings for work as a Volunteer. Full training and support are given. If you are interested, please speak to Fr Kentigern.

CATHOLIC PARISHES SUMMIT All places for this amazing event have been filled. Contributions towards the cost of tickets will be gratefully received. Please sign the sheet in the Hall to arrange travel – either needing lifts or able to give lifts. On Tuesday 11 June we welcome a group making a pilgrimage to the event. All welcome to meet them at 3.30pm in the Hall, and share a cup of tea.
On Saturday 15 June we welcome a group from Germany, Holland and New Zealand for a day of follow up activities from 10.00am. All welcome to participate. Contributions towards a Bring and Share lunch will be gratefully received. There are 8 members of the Dutch group trying to find accommodation for Saturday night – 6 ladies, 1 gentleman and a priest (The Abbey can’t help) Any suggestions?

SVP SUMMER CAMP Middlesbrough SVP Central Council is organising a summer camp for children from the most deprived areas of the diocese. The camp will be free of charge for the children and also the adult volunteers who will take care of the children and run the camp. It will take place in August. Our SVP Group is planning to help fund this event. If you would like to contribute, please speak to Mary Borrett. CAFOD BIG PILGRIMAGE Do you enjoy getting outside? And are you looking for an opportunity to grow in faith? If so, we would love to invite you to join us for The Big Pilgrimage at Ampleforth Abbey on Saturday 22nd June. This is an exciting new event in which you will gain:
Space for prayer and reflection
A warm welcome with hospitality and refreshments
Activities for people of all ages reflecting our values of justice, hope and peace
A chance to meet fellow pilgrims and learn from each other
Our doors will be open from 12.00 – 5.00pm and, in addition to the above, participants will be able to choose whether to join one of our pilgrimage groups or design their own route. We will be offering:
A longer route of 5 – 6 miles lasting approximately 120 – 150 minutes. This option is perfect for experienced walkers or those who love a physical challenge.
A shorter circular route of 2 – 3 miles lasting 60 – 75 minutes. This is a perfect choice for those who prefer a gentler experience.
