FINANCE & FABRIC The Finance Committee will meet on Monday 7 February at 7.00pm. A mystery Benefactor is offering the Parish a considerable sum to kickstart Parish Development and begin to pay for investigations and works on the Parish Hall. The Finance Committee is offering the challenge to the Parish to match that sum (£5000) by the end of February. For more details please speak to Fr Kentigern.

MIDDLESBROUGH FOOD BANK "Heat or Eat". The reality for 2.4 million of our brothers and sisters experiencing destitution - extreme poverty - even before the pandemic. With prices rising it is becoming more acute. The reliance on the Foodbank is becoming greater. The next deadline will be 12.00pm on Monday 7 February for Delivery on Tuesday 8 February.

GARAGE SALE IN AID OF REFUGEES Monica Gripaios is holding a garage sale on February 5th from 10-1pm at Brookside, Hovingham. The money raised will go to the Refugee Council, a charity her mother supported. She passed away last August and the money is being raised in her memory, she was herself a refugee from Nazi Germany.

LEND WITH CARE As the result of some generous donations, the parish has provided Lend With Care substantial funds for investment. MARY’S MEALS Maria Toone and Lizzie Walsh (and their Dads!) are running the Cambridge half marathon for Mary’s Meals on March 6th. Maria will be running in memory of her Grandad Pat and Granty (Nuala), to fund the feeding programme in the Julijuah school in Malawi which was set up in their memory when they died. It costs only £15.90 to feed a child for a year and we are hoping to raise £3800: the cost to fund the feeding programme in the school for a year.
